Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech in association with MTV India launched Winged, India’s first hair and makeup web reality series. The series offered an exclusive platform for aspiring hair and makeup artists across India to showcase their talent and win the title of India’s first hair and makeup superstar. Winged has been hosted by Gaelyn Mendonca and judged by Pushkaraj Shenai (CEO, Lakmé Lever), Anupma Katyal (National Creative Director, Lakmé Salon), and Sushant Divgikar (Model, Actor and VJ).

16000+ participants from round the country participated in Winged, out of which 15 were shortlisted and trained by experts of the academy for the web reality series. Later, 10 best contenders were introduced to the grand stage of ‘Winged’ on screen. The webisode was aired across six episodes . These showcased the beautiful journey of the contestants battling and trying their luck to win the crown of India’s first hair and make-up superstar. The episodes highlighted different styles of makeup depicting different cultures, music genres and cos-plays.

The winner of Winged is going to be the brand ambassador of Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech for a year. She will be trained and groomed by experts to be the beauty influencer on digital media. The journey of these contestants has been fabulous. They learnt, they explored, and took up myriad challenges smartly. The art of creating different looks was beautifully shown in this one-of-its kind event presented by Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech and MTV.

Winged was aired across 6 webisodes. In each episode, participants took up new challenges and created looks spanning different cultures, music genres, cos-play.
The one-of-its-kind event was launched by two big names from the education and media industry, Lakmé Academy powered by Aptech and MTV, respectively.
It has been a superb stage for hair and makeup aspirants to showcase their talent, get trained by experts, and win the crown of India’s first hair and make-up superstar.
